Entering via the front door on the north-west corner of the house, one passes the door to the Office/ Spare Bedroom as well as a small garde-robe, which also houses part of the heating and ventilation (HVAC) controls and equipment. Wide stairs lead upwards, with a series of storage cupboards built-in underneath them.

Moving past the stairs, there is a sliding door to the downstairs toilet, which in turn has a sliding door into the main bathroom. A window on the north side of the house gives a view out onto the Obstgarten. Opposite the stairs is the Main Bedroom; passing that door there is a hallway with a combined full-height window and sliding door opening onto the Scottish Terrace.
